Obituary for James Norman Farmer

James Norman Farmer age 67 of Smyrna died Monday, February 26, 2018. Funeral service will be 3 PM Friday, March 2 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Smyrna with Rev. Chip Wilson officiating. Burial will be Kennesaw Memorial Park. Mr. Farmer lived in Smyrna for 38 years, was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church where he was in the Koinonia Sunday School Class and was Head of Technology for the Church. He was very active in Better Marriages of Georgia. Mr. Farmer was a member of the Emmaus Community and also served as a Stephens Minister. He was preceded in death by his son Corwin James Farmer.
Survivors Include: Wife- Claire Farmer of Smyrna
Daughters- Tiffany Farmer (Mauricio) of Atlanta
Amber Farmer of Smyrna
Sons- Devin Farmer (McKenzie Allen) of Okinawa, Japan
Walter Farmer Hart of Weimar, Germany
Brother- David Farmer of Adairsville
Sister- Cathy Weeks of Adairsville
Grandchildren- Macartney Ryan, Imani Ryan, and Rowan Willingham
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. Those who wish may make contributions to The Bethany United Church Building Fund or AFSP- American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
