Regina Maria Linpinsel died March 4, 2017 at the age of 91 at Kennesaw Place, an assisted living facility in Kennesaw, GA. She was born June 17, 1925 in Oberaudorf, Germany to Margaret and Balthazar Mayer and was the oldest of three girls. Her sister Anna Burke yet resides in Santa Maria, CA, and Margaret Thompson has hence deceased.
After completing her high school education she went on to Business School in Bavaria. The times, WWII, provided work for her as a Transatlantic Telephone Operator. At the age of 28 she acquired a year pass to the USA.
She met her husband, Erich Linpinsel in Chicago, and they were married 45 years. She was a housewife for 20 years when she and her husband went into the motel business. The last property they sold was the Best Western in Calhoun, GA. There were many a client and passerby who were charmed by her tales about her life.
She is survived by Rosemarie Van Dyke, Erich Linpinsel Jr. and wife, Katherine, and Curtis Linpinsel and wife, Diane Caldwell-Linpinsel. Beloved grandchildren are Andrew Van Dyke, Jessica Porter, and Erich William Linpinsel III (Billy). Israel, Michael and Johnathan Caldwell and Stephanie Wheatley shared her love as well. Her five great grandchildren kept her alive for her extended time.
A memorial service will be held at Carmichael’s Funeral Home, 1130 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064 at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March, 25th, 2017.
