Obituary for Ludy Carter Evinrude

Mrs. Ludy Carter Evinrude age 91 of Smyrna, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, June 24th at Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with Chaplain Hal Cole officiating. Interment will be in Cheatham Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. Mrs. Evinrude was born in Welasco, TX and attended the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She had been employed by B.F. Goodrich in Tuscaloosa, AL for 12 years and was employed by Brooke and Freeman, CPA in Anniston, AL for 18 years. She was married to William Evinrude for 54 years. In retirement, they travelled extensively in their RV, for 10 years, including Alaska. They spent many winters in Florida in their RV on the beach. Ludy and Bill moved to Delmar Gardens in 2000 and Bill died one year later. Ludy lived at Delmar for 17 years and made many friends. She loved to paint and became an avid Bingo player. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston, AL. Surviving are: 2 Daughters-Beverly Carawan of Mableton and Linda (Jim) Kinnard of Smyrna, 2 Grandchildren-Karen (Eric) Kinnard and Keith Alan Kinnard all of Buford, GA, 4 Great Grandchildren-Alexis Kinnard, Cameron Leonard, Kole Kinnard and Caleigh Adams. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2104, Anniston, AL 36202. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna (770)435-4467
