Obituary for Lonnie Wayman Ayers, Sr.

Lonnie Wayman Ayers, Sr. age 98 of Woodstock went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2017.
Funeral service will be 3 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Buddy Hulsey officiating. Entombment will be at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Ayers worked for Lockheed Aeronautical for 32 years as an Electronics Engineer before retiring. He was the owner/operator of Sound Electronics for over 50 years where he tuned pianos and repaired organs in churches all over the Southeast. Mr. Ayers was an avid gardner and was a master crossword puzzler. He was a member of Roswell Street Baptist church where he taught Sunday school for several years. Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years Revalee Ayers and his son David Ayers.
Survivors include: Daughters- Brenda Irby of Acworth, Linda Wallace of Powder Springs and Deborah Barker (Dan) of Woodstock. Sons- Lonnie Ayers, II (Linda) of Marietta and Ron Ayers (Brenda) of Los Angeles, CA. 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home .
