Obituary for Lisa Michelle Ayers

Lisa Michelle Ayers born August 2, 1971 passed away Sept. 29, 2017. She was 46 years old.

Funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Bill Heaton and Rev. Jackie Sanders. Burial will Be in Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.

Graduated from Osborne High School, Marietta, Ga. in 1989 where she lettered in track, soccer, and cross country..

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree 12/10/1994 from Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Ga..

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs Georgia

She was very active in the Relay for Life for the fight against cancer. She served on the board of directors for Paulding county Relay for Life for several years. She ran a 26.2 mile marathon in California exactly one year after being diagnosed with brain cancer to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation.

She is survived by her husband Victor Ayers, her son Elijah Ayers, her parents, Bill and Nancy Batson, of Decatur, Ga., Sharon and Phillip Burruss of Smyrna, Ga., a brother, Jeff Batson, from Decatur, Ga, a sister, Stephanie Burruss Jenkins, and husband, Steve Jenkins , two nephews, William Jenkins and Walker Jenkins of Charlotte, NC.. Step Sister Tracy Bryson of Marietta, Ga and niece Morgan Mansfield.
