Obituary for Jennifer Griner Wilson

Powder Springs — Jennifer Griner Wilson passed away on Thursday, September 14 at the age of 45, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on November 8, 1971 to Mark and Judy Griner. She was a 1990 graduate of North Cobb High School and married Jeffrey Allen Wilson on November 23, 1996 in Powder Springs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education as well as her Masters of Education degrees from the University of Georgia. In July, she earned an Educational Doctorate in School Improvement from the University of West Georgia. She taught middle school science in Fulton, Cherokee, and Cobb counties. Most recently, she served as an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University.
Jennifer was a loving wife, mother and daughter who always put others’ needs before her own. Family was the most important thing to Jennifer. This is where she drew her strength and will leave her legacy. While battling cancer for several years, Jennifer maintained her businesses, completed her doctoral dissertation, and continued to orchestrate the demanding lives of two teenagers. Yet through it all, her love and caring for her family remained her focus.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Jeff; their two children, Alex and Lauren; and her parents Mark and Judy Griner.
A private memorial service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. in her memory.
A quote hangs in Jennifer’s house to remind us how precious life is.
Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is your future
Today is your life
Live it.
