Obituary for James "Jim" A. Brannon

Mr. James A. “Jim” Brannon, age 84 of Smyrna passed away Monday, April 2, 2018. A memorial service will be held 3 pm Sunday, April 8 at the Smyrna First United Methodist Church. A resident of Smyrna for over 60 years, Mr. Brannon served in the US Army and retired from Holox, Inc. after over 25 years in sales. He was a member of the American Legion Post #160 and the Golden K Kiwanis Club. Lovingly known as “Papa Dude”, Mr. Brannon was a loving husband, father and grandfather that cared deeply for his family and was very involved and active in their lives. He is survived by his wife Jean Brannon, son Chuck (Tammy) Brannon of Smyrna, granddaughters Alison (Shane) Wilhoit, Erin (Kenny) Perkins, great grandchildren Cameron and Noah James Wilhoit and Willow Perkins, nieces, nephews and other extended family. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Sunday, April 8 in the Welcome Center of the church. Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna is in charge of arrangements. www.carmichaelcares.com 770-435-4467.
