Obituary for Evelyn Beavers Pair

Evelyn Beavers Pair, age 97 , of Smyrna,GA died November 2, 2017. Funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday, November 5 at the Central Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA. Mrs. Pair was born August 9, 1920, the eldest of three children of the late Earl J. and Leacy Clayton Beavers. She was a lifelong resident of Georgia and a 1937 graduate of Marietta High School. Mrs. Pair retired on December 29, 1980 from U.S. Civil Service, Naval Air Station – Atlanta as a Personal Property Shipping Clerk. She was a former member of Smyrna First Baptist Church for 33 years and was active in the Fellowship Sunday School Class, WMU and the L.L.L. Senior Club. At present,she was a member of Central Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. Evelyn will forever be remembered as an exceptional woman with a sweet sprit who loved the Lord, her family and friends and was always there for them. She never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harris L "Jack" Pair, Sr. of 68 years and daughter, Rebecca Pair McKinney. Survivors cherishing her memory are son, Harris L. Pair, Jr. and wife, Carrie, 2 grandsons, Matthew D. Pair and Leland V. McKinney, Jr., 5 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and dear friend Peggy Stewart. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Sunday, November 5 at the church.
