Obituary for Betty F. Redd

Betty F. Redd, age 89 of Eatonton, formerly of Smyrna, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018. A funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, July 9, 2018, in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Redd was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Smyrna and was a current member of the Bible Fellowship Church. She was an active member of the Emmaus Community (Orbec) and belonged to the Lamplighters and Kluck Hens prayer and Bible study groups. She also belonged to the Crooked Creek Community Association and the Sinclair Hens. Mrs. Redd loved to crochet and garden, and she made the most wonderful peanut butter cookies. Mrs. Redd was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Eugene Redd, daughter Rita Carol Huff, sons David Byron Redd, and Theodore Gene Redd, and 10 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her son Terry Lee (Lisa) Redd, daughters Vickey Lynn Redd, and Pamela Ann Redd (Robert) Jenkins, son in law David Huff, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren and one on the way. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, July 8, 2018, and 10-11 am Monday, July 9, 2018, at the funeral home.
