A Wayne Lautenschlager
Wayne Lautenschlager, age 74 of Kennesaw, died Monday, January 8, 2018. Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Lost Mountain Church of God in Powder Springs with Pastor Keith Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
Mr. Lautenschlager was born in Milwaukee, WI and was an Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. He retired from AT&T after 37 years where he was a Communications Technician. Mr. Lautenschlager was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and also worked at Cobblestone as a volunteer Golf Ranger. He loved golf was very active and driven and was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved people and is described as “the epitome of a good man”.
Mr. Lautenschlager is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Lautenschlager; sons David Lautenschlager of Atlanta, Kenny Lautenschlager (Phyllis) of Charlotte, NC, Tony Harris (Gina) of Fayetteville, and Mike Harris (Mandy) of Powder Springs; sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Orville Kuske of Appleton, WI; and grandchildren Megan, Melanie, Todd, Amy, Samantha, and Sydney.
The family will greet friends at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta on Tuesday, January 16 from 6 to 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to DAV Chapter 6 Marietta, or DAV Auxiliary Chapter 6.
